I love designing sets for the theatrical shows that I direct. It used to be that we would start out with paper and pencils. I enjoyed the transition to computer aided design, shown here in two designs created in Sketchup and paired with the finished set. (I’ve designed other shows, but don’t have photos for them.)
Having a laser cutter for the school drama guild that I coach is great fun. Here’s the scale model I used as a sort of blueprint and the finished sets.
